Love ... and the expression of it ... this was in a dream I had about two days ago and a visual of me writing a love letter in a past life in candlelight ... which has brought me to this blog post today.
Loving someone or an animal or a higher power is something that we can express in writing, and perhaps now is the time to do just that! It can be a way of healing, letting emotions out to process, feel and work through and powerful as you are moving what is in your head and heart space out into the 'world' I have such a desire on a personal level to 'write' inside of me too, but I have 'programs' that self sabotage with beliefs such as I didn't read as a child (and still do rarely) so my grammar and spelling, as a result, are terrible ... that is not a 'loving' belief I hold, so I will be doing what I am going to suggest for my own benefit too! Why not write a love letter today .... and put it on paper, on an email, it could be in the form of poetry or art, whatever format works for you. It could be to yourself (very powerful), to someone you currently can't physically see due to the 'virus', to someone that has left or didn't make it to this this physical world, to a beloved pet, or to perhaps a God if that is your path or to Mother Earth herself. If you write one to you, put it perhaps somewhere that you can access easily and use it again if you need to If you perhaps choose to write to someone or an animal that has passed, you could bury it in earth, light it (safely) on fire and send out into the Universe, or keep it, so that you can look at it again. If you write one to a friend or relative that you are currently missing, then perhaps send via email You also don't have to stop at one and you also don't need to 'send' it either! I would suggest finding a quiet spot for yourself, and maybe even playing some of your favourite music in the background, burn some lavender essential oil or incense to help relax, and let it flow, rather than 'correcting' yourself. I would love to know how you get on with this idea, so please do let me know by commenting on this blog post. There is great love that is surrounding the planet right now, even though it may not feel like it to some. Going 'inward' with a love letter may just help. I am sending you some too, with the intent of this post, so if you need it, please accept. If you are in an unstable frame of mind from a mental health perspective, perhaps this can be something you can consider at another time.

This practice is especially important in times of stress, fear, anxiety and when you don't feel 'balanced'.
It is 'connecting' with everything around us and also inside of us, and there are many ways of doing it, so find what works for you, but also be prepared to change techniques during your life journey. Spiritual practices like yoga, meditation and journaling can help very much in being more grounded (connected) and also helping us ground if we need to at a given moment with more ease. Taking the time every day to ground too, can be life altering for some, so if you haven't tried this practice, it could be something you could start and you can start right now! What does grounding look like for myself personally? When I have my morning coffee or tea, before the first sip, I close my eyes and I bring my awareness to my breathing .... for about 30 seconds, and let that be my only focus. If I feel that isn't enough, I may then decide to meditate for about 10 minutes with my black tourmaline* crystal, which is my personal favourite, or simply carry the crystal around me with me or wear my bracelet made of the same crystal. When I shower, a great way is closing your eyes and visualizing roots going from the sole of your feet into the center of mother earth. For me too, if I sing loudly, this can have a grounding effect for me, and you don't have to be an opera singer to do this! Walking in bare feet is particularly great for the outward connection in my own personal world, and there are lots of little kiddies that do this intuitively ... so if you have one that refuses to keep shoes on, you may want to look at their behavior with a different viewpoint. Our journey of connection is a little challenging in the current energy, so perhaps grounding yourself throughout the day could help, and be a little bit of self care you can also share with others if you find it works. Please do share your ways of grounding too so that others can have more reference points, and use what feels right for them. Being proactive with this practice is a great foundation, but you can use as a top up any time you may feel the need. I have attached an image with a few very quick ways to ground that may also help. Let's embrace the social side of community right now, by suggesting ways to help holistically, practically and from a place of love, and rename 'social distancing' to physical distancing, because we need to come together, and learn new ways of 'being' and moving forward. Lots of love as always from me to you ... you are incredible and your soul is the key to everything Sarah xxx * This is my personal choice of crystal, but yours could be very different. Choosing crystals intuitively is always best. The main energy point in your body (root chakra) is associated with the colour red, so you might have a red crystal, or if crystals aren't for you, then incorporating the colour red into your wardrobe may be another grounding technique for you! Today has been about a Rainbow and what it symbolized for me ... after a huge one presented itself whilst I was in my little Owl office ... I am still working through healing after the transition of my mum, one of my amazing dogs and a miscarriage in the second half of 2019 ... and for me this beautiful rainbow was about connection 'with the other side' and their message to me Everyone can't help being taken in by the beauty of mother nature presenting us with what we visually experience with such a wonder, even if you aren't a 'fluffy' kind of soul ... and along with 'my' rainbow .... "Somewhere over the Rainbow", a song that so many of us are familiar with, came straight into my head, which I have been singing pretty much all afternoon I can only try and share with you how this all made me 'feel' ... a blend of connection with the souls I have spoken about, and a great big message about there being endless possibilities and hope ... I was a little giddy in a good way and could feel such beautiful energy being channeled through my heart center I cried, I smiled and I sang. I just knew they were all around me (a few goosebumps also made an appearance) and felt such peace and a sense of happiness, in knowing they truly haven't gone anywhere, from a soul perspective What a magical experience, which I am thankful for Death and the associated grief is something that we rarely speak about in society in terms of what our beliefs are, how we feel about it and what it means to us ... Death for so many can be our biggest fear, about our own death and about those around us dying ... Perhaps the fear that the media are currently spreading globally about corona virus and people going into complete panic mode, is something that we can use for the good? Should we perhaps start talking about our fears and start looking at holistic alternatives in conjunction with science ... start taking responsibility for us as individuals and work collectively, without judgement, for the greater good...? How we feel about death I would suggest is directly correlated to our experience here in this world That rainbow today showed me too that there are things we can control and things we cannot. Our perception is everything ... and is this journey easy? No, because we are here as humans to learn and grow .. so perhaps let us all think about the rainbow ... what it symbolizes for us as individuals .. and make magic happen .. for the good and for the better What does your rainbow look like? What does it symbolize for YOU? This little musing is my take on my experience and your ideas and beliefs will more than likely differ from mine... but that is all again part of being human, our uniqueness and what makes us who we are ... Being Irish, there may just be a pot of gold at the end of where I saw the rainbow ... so maybe I will bid you farewell for now and go look ... Love as always The Owl x My M (mum) and myself 2 years ago in South Africa ...I struggle with my own vulnerability and letting you see the very human side of me can be a challenge ...
So much of what I post on my Facebook page is with the intent to impact and help others primarily , but it can also be very much about my own personal journey 'at that moment', so please know you are not alone in figuring out this human experience! Sometimes our days seem to just happen, we feel stuck and it is like we are on the same continuous washing machine cycle. I have been in this space myself lately, after breaking my leg in three places and 7 weeks on, I am getting very very frustrated, and wasn’t exactly helping myself either, because at any moment we can very much change how we react to life and what changes we can implement to help ourselves. By putting some 'magic' touches into my day today, it has helped me move into a much more empowered space! This will look different for everyone (the magic), but my tools for the day were some herbal tea, filtered water and setting intent around a magical symbol I created and put on a stone, coupled with connecting with my guides to channel a message ... which was posted on my Facebook page My intent ultimately here may be for you to see a little more of my human side but also for you to think about yourself, and what little things you can incorporate into your day to make little shifts .... it could be prayer, meditation, cup of coffee with a friend, soul jumping music, saying no to someone, or putting yourself first! Who knows where these little elements of 'magic' that you choose to inject can take you ... ? Mine led me to writing this short little muse ... which i have thoroughly enjoyed and trust you do too ... I am so #grateful that you have taken the time to come here and be with'me'.... I look forward to some more time together ongoing Love the Irish Owl xx Find me on Facebook @theirishowl |
